Port Lincoln, South Australia

This little courtyard garden is situated between two buildings, divided by a rendered wall.  The inspiration for this type of garden came from watching Monte Don’s series on 'Paradise Gardens around the world'. ‘Le jardin secret’ in Morocco caught my interest as it exists completely out of view, entered from the smallest of side streets. This garden is part of a holiday rental in Port Lincoln and surprises guests with its lushness, calm and coolness. The water feature with basin and rill evokes tranquility and freshness. The choice of plants is quite similar to the original ‘Jardin secret’ featuring rosemary, lavender, society garlic, liriopes, star jasmine and anemones. Feature trees are crêpe myrtle and frangipani.
